Brief Description

With rights come responsibilities – the responsibility to keep yourself safe, your e-devices safe, not to be a threat to others, and to act and behave in an appropriate and responsible manner. Sometimes it is a matter of ignorance, and therefore this workshop. Learn more about your basic human rights, how it extends to the online world, and what to do should your rights be violated in any way, or should you become the target of online bullying, online harassment, gas lighting and more. Also revisit what you don’t want to have done to yourself, and take care not to do it to others. In addition to emotional safety, physical safety (eyes, body, hearing etc) should also be taken care of. Electronic devices are expensive, and protect your e-device from being targeted by viruses, worms, hackers and more.

Expected Outcomes

After completing this course, the delegates will be able to:

  • Understand how to identify online threats & attacks;
  • Report unethical and harmful behavior;
  • Create safe and secure password/s;
  • Keep your body healthy while spending time using your e-device; and
