Brief Description

Information literacy is the ability to identify what information is needed, understand how the information is organised, identify the best sources of information for a given need, locate those sources, evaluate the sources critically, and share and present that information. The ability to find, evaluate, use and share information is an essential skill for all citizens, and libraries play an important role in guiding users during the information life-cycle process. Computer, information and media literacy nowadays cannot exist without one another, and compliments one another. Learn how to find & identify quality online information from different media types, understand how it is organised and how to navigate and display it. Find more relevant resources, distinguish between fake, trusted and quality information, and learn different ways to represent the information as part of a new document or online page.
