Welcome back after the holiday, and we hope you are all well rested!
During the past week or two, South Africans had an eye opener in terms of how easy it is to get into trouble when making statements on social media. Both adults and learners must please take great care when posting personal opinions. Posting something on facebook or twitter or a blog is similar to posting it on a billboard next to the highway, or broadcast it via CNN News for the whole world to hear. Therefore – please help to learn our children from very early that they must take responsibility for what they say – also on social media. Never post anything that can be offensive for others.
The above is one of many objectives Kids in the Cloud would like to achieve. The manuals have been developed to cover online ethics, as well as how to use social media responsibly.
